Psalm 23:2 - Green and Blue

Psalm 23:2 - Green and Blue

For some time, everywhere I looked, green and blue boldly stood out, being highlighted to me. I've learned to simply ask God, what does this mean when my attention is drawn to anything? He led me to Psalm 23

Psalm 23: 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters (blue). I’ve also learned not to remain at the surface, but to keep asking God questions with genuine curiosity and a sincere desire to understand. I began to inquire about the colors and further examined the Psalm 23 as a whole.

Keywords:

Green:

    • Topical Bible - Green
    • Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - H1877: deshe
      • Grass, green herb, vegetation
    • Imagery that I envisioned was lush gardens with fruit, the stock arrow that is green when a profit is made, and also money (prosperity), a green light. I heard the word "Go". I also noticed a green street sign named Freedom Pkwy as the light switched from red to green.

Blue:

Water:

    • Topical Bible - Water
    •  Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - H4325: mayim
      • water; figuratively, juice; by euphemism, urine, semen -- + piss, wasting, water(-ing, (-course, -flood, -spring))
    • Imagery that I envisioned was rain, flowing rivers, and wells. It rained a lot during this time and every time it did, I felt as if God was washing and rinsing away the old and making everything clean and anew.

Through Psalm 23:2, I began to see God as the great Shepherd who gives us into rest, nourishes our growth, provides provision, refreshes us with His presence, and gives us peace as we move forward.

Ask yourself:

1. What has God repeatedly brought to your attention lately?

2. Have you taken time to ask Him what it means?

Feel free to share below what you believe God may be revealing, restoring, or inviting you into.
