To reflect on how God revealed this platform to me, is truly amazing.

In 2022, I went through a season in which I was reintroduced to and learned about Jesus and the cross  their significance, relevance, purpose, and practical application pertaining to my life.

That was a really rough time for me. I felt like everything began to fall apart.. my life, my relationships, my job, and my finances. I was truly lost. Although I grew up Christian and had always been, I wondered through that time and began to ask God to reveal himself to me and what to believe, as I was considering joining the Muslim religion. I began to grow more weary, anxious, and depressed with poor coping skills like extreme isolation from family and friends, excessive sleeping, substance (alcohol) misuse, avoidance of anything that was not super easy, bouts of compulsive partying, and procrastination. My mom noticed and visited me. She put some things into perspective.

She walked me through writing a petition to God , a list of things I looked forward to or desired in the near future, and had me sign my name and close with In Jesus Christ what's for me is for me.

I believe one of the most significant moments I look back and realized that God was talking to me was when I heard/felt It's not game over. I had been jobless, fell behind on my bills, been deeply betrayed and stolen from, and was discouraged to say the least. In the midst of it all, I received unexpected money, words of encouragement, and support to stay afloat along the way. I remember having  a conversation of what I thought was just thoughts, but I asked It's not game over? The response was No, its not game over, daughter. I felt as if I was in a video game and like I was on some survival adventure. That was the first time I remember sensing God, talking with (2 way conversation) God, and growing in faith. I truly felt child-like. I decided to view my relationship and journey with God as adventure to see and walk it with optimism, curiosity, and comfort. As I read my bible,  And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven Matthew 18:3 NIV resonated.

Fast forward, a year to the date of writing the petition.. I started working as a NP.  The results were not verbatim, but they were miraculously aligned and above my expectations and initial ask, much like Now to the One being able to do exceedingly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us Ephesians 3:20 BLB.

  • I started one of the NP job in a week's time (credentialing typically takes months)
  • God provided 2 jobs that paid greater than $120,000/yr.
  • I received BOTH job schedules I asked for.
  • I was able to live in my house (I had become exhausted with living out of my suitcase with per-diem and travel nursing)
  • I was able to get trained and gain experience, and certs on the job.
  • I did not get the job at the place I asked, but I learned a long time ago that God knows what you need and where you need to be more than you do.

Before the breakthrough, work shifts from my part time job began to open up and opportunities to work lucrative assignments were made available.

Between writing the petition and realizing God provided, I want to emphasize that I did a 12 day "Daniel Fast". (Please see my fasting resource for more insight and perspective on fasting).

Also, prayers and affirmations began to pop up on my Instagram timeline. Prayer and declarations began to become a part of my morning routine. Somewhere along the lines, I heard a radio ad that talked about research supporting how reading the Bible more than 4 times weekly improved quality of life. It was at that time, I decided to at least read 1 scripture daily, so I downloaded the Bible app and read the scripture of the day which evolved into a chapter a day for a while.

A few months into working the NP jobs, one night, Apostle Joshua Sellman prayers popped up on my TikTok and its like his prayer unlocked something. I read my Bible for 2 hours straight which was miraculous for a person who went from opening the Bible when I had trouble sleeping because as soon as I would open my Bible, I would fall asleep. I had never read a book, much less my bible for an extended amount of time.

It was also in that time that I switched  to King James Version (KJV) from New International Version (NIV) because I realized there were notable omissions including:

  • Matthew 17:21: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
  • Matthew 18:11: "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."
  • Mark 16:9-20: The longer ending of Mark is often omitted or placed in footnotes in the NIV.
  • Luke 17:36: "Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."
  • John 7:53-8:11: The story of the woman caught in adultery is included in the KJV but is often bracketed or footnoted in the NIV.

Now with that backstory...

I began to have an almost audible thought, the word Testament bounced around in my head... I wondered, where did this come from? What does this mean? Testament? Of course, the first thing that came to mind was the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, but I was still perplexed. Not even considering that God was probably telling me to read my Bible.

I had been praying to God about a business, and Testament would continue to resound in my mind but I had no idea how this could possibly become anything. And then, it evolved into Testament of Time. I even noticed the phrase in a magazine as I was creating a vision board. Over another year, he finally added transformation and revealed Transformation Through Testament.

Over this time, I've realized how important God's Word is and how it has renewed my mind, transformed my life, and equipped me as a believer in Christ. It reveals knowledge and nature about God and is a component of developing a relationship with him. It has showed me truth in lies, chaos, and deception. It has given me peace, certainty, and expectation. It has also been armor and an offensive weapon in spiritual battles. It is everything that I have ever needed.

I have truly been transformed through Testament!

With faith and purpose,

Transformation Through Testament
Renewing Minds. Transforming Lives. Equipping Believers
